Membracel is a crystalline cellulose membrane capable of temporarily replacing the skin. The dressing is biocompatible, inert, free of adhesives, nontoxic, with extremely thin texture and highly resistant in wet state. The version with pores allows gas exchange and the passage of excess exudate. Due to its characteristics, it does not call for the daily change of the product, thus avoiding possible trauma, promoting the development of granulation tissue, reducing pain through the isolation of nerve endings, and accelerating the healing process.
The product was developed for the treatment of the mother of the inventor, João Carlos Moreschi, who suffered with ulcers. Unhappy with the lack of effective results from conventional treatments, he decided to try to find a solution. João Carlos, who holds scientific and technological knowledge in the areas of microbiology and cellulose, decided to use his experience to develop an effective and innovative product. After intensive studies and researches, he developed an innovative product, capable of eliminating the pain, allowing the exudate to transpose and promoting the accelerated healing of skin lesions: the cellulose membrane, christened as Membracel.
